The car enthusiast market is one of the fastest growing markets out there. It is now possible to go to the grocery store to buy performance car mods, although I wouldn't recommend it! Ive been modding cars to make more power for years and in this post I will create a list of the best mods for the buck you can do. For every Modification there are varying degrees of expense and performance, and as you'd guess the more you spend on a name brand quality product the better performance you will receive. In the following list I will include the average price and horsepower (hp) gains of each option(to the crank, not ground), but of coarse you can only choose one. You should start with the first then move on to the second mod options list and ect.
1) Cold Air Intake($100,20hp+), Short Ram Intake($50,10hp+), K&N High Flow Filter Drop In($45,6hp+)
2) Exhaust Mufflers($150,15hp+)
3) Exhaust Headers Tubular manifold($500,30hp+),Ported exhaust manifold(P.E.M.)($200,20hp+)
4) Catalytic converter delete (off road use)($50,7hp+)
5) After Market Down Pipe($65,15hp+)
After these Five are completed the next mods you will want to do will vary based on the car you are modding. This List is very generic and unspecified and can be applied to 99% of every car or even truck ever made! As you can see these five mods are enough to develop an additional average horsepower gain of 87hp!! That's HUGE!! Now that's some power you'll feel !!
